Au cours des 30 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, April a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 plus de 100 productions. Elle a con\u00e7u des d\u00e9cors, des costumes, des \u00e9clairages et des projections pour des compagnies telles que Citadel Theatre<\/a>, Theatre Calgary<\/a>, The Banff Centre for the Arts<\/a>, The Only Animal<\/a>, The Belfry Theatre<\/a>, Persephone Theatre<\/a>, Tarragon Theatre<\/a>, Factory Theatre<\/a>, Vertigo Theatre<\/a>, Alberta Theatre Projects<\/a>, Regina\u2019s Globe Theatre<\/a>, et Kill Your Television<\/a>.<\/p>

April est professeure et directrice du D\u00e9partement d\u2019art dramatique de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de l\u2019Alberta<\/a>. Elle est membre \u00e0 part enti\u00e8re et ancienne pr\u00e9sidente de l\u2019Association des concepteurs du Canada<\/a>. April a \u00e9t\u00e9 chef de projet pour World Stage Design 2022<\/a>, organis\u00e9 conjointement avec le CITT\/ICTS de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Calgary<\/a>. April est ravie d\u2019\u00eatre \u00e0 Edmonton, en Alberta, o\u00f9 elle travaille au sein d\u2019une communaut\u00e9 artistique dynamique et tenace.<\/p>

En 2006, elle a remport\u00e9 ex \u00e6quo le Prix Siminovitch pour les jeunes talents. En 2000, elle a re\u00e7u le prix Tyrone Guthrie<\/a> au Festival de Stratford au Canada, o\u00f9 elle a pass\u00e9 quatre saisons \u00e0 titre de sc\u00e9nographe adjointe. April a re\u00e7u de nombreux prix et nominations pour son travail sur sc\u00e8ne, pour son enseignement et pour son engagement aupr\u00e8s d\u2019organismes artistiques nationaux et internationaux.<\/p>

En avril, April a fait son apprentissage \u00e0 Rome, en Italie, aupr\u00e8s de Scenotecnia Piu\u2019<\/a>, une entreprise r\u00e9put\u00e9e pour son savoir-faire artisanal et ses sc\u00e9nographies grandioses.<\/p>
