Son travail remet en question les id\u00e9es traditionnelles de la sc\u00e9nographie et des installations d'art public en donnant la priorit\u00e9 \u00e0 l'incorporation d'objets trouv\u00e9s et de mat\u00e9riaux r\u00e9utilis\u00e9s. C'est une activit\u00e9 tr\u00e8s spirituelle pour moi que d'observer les sch\u00e9mas de la ville, nos d\u00e9chets et notre relation aux d\u00e9chets \u00bb.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pour Lane, les limites inh\u00e9rentes au travail avec des mat\u00e9riaux non conventionnels et trouv\u00e9s sont le moteur de sa cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9. Le probl\u00e8me est la solution ; les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s uniques des mat\u00e9riaux que Lane invite dans sa pratique cr\u00e9ative finissent par d\u00e9boucher sur un potentiel d'innovation illimit\u00e9 lorsqu'il consid\u00e8re ces objets mis au rebut avec un souci d'attention, de respect et de valeur.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00ab Je consid\u00e8re que c'est un moyen pour moi de toujours avoir des mat\u00e9riaux \u00e0 ma disposition pour pouvoir travailler et faire des choses. Pendant mes \u00e9tudes, je n'avais pas beaucoup d'argent, mais je voulais fabriquer des choses. Je voyais des gens jeter des mat\u00e9riaux de grande valeur qui n'\u00e9taient pas toujours faciles \u00e0 travailler, et je devais donc apprendre \u00e0 le faire. C'est \u00e0 partir de l\u00e0 que j'ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 regarder le monde et les mat\u00e9riaux avec l'\u00e9thique qui m'anime \u00bb.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Un lien avec la marionnette et le Old Trout Puppet Workshop<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apr\u00e8s avoir d\u00e9but\u00e9 en tant qu'artiste visuel, le parcours de M. Plus qu'une installation, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The General Store<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> est un espace \u00e9volutif et participatif o\u00f9 les mat\u00e9riaux, les objets et les personnes se rassemblent pour raconter des histoires par le biais du commerce.
