Marketing Coordinator / Arts Administrator

Overview
The Siminovitch Theatre Foundation (STF) is seeking a coordinator with a passion for the performing arts. The successful candidate will support the Siminovitch Theatre Foundation’s mission to celebrate and support early and mid-career theatre artists across Canada. This position offers a unique opportunity for a young professional to gain hands-on experience in arts administration, marketing, event coordination, and program operations within a national non-profit organization.
- Marketing & Community Engagement
- Conduct research to update the STF website, highlighting artists and the impact of STF’s work.
- Maintain stakeholder contact information and assist with CRM data updates.
- Event Coordination
- Help coordinate in-person events, including outreach with guests, registration tracking, venue set-up, and follow-up communications and evaluations.
- Fundraising
- Assist with research, scheduling, and organizing digital files.
- Gather impact stories from past hourees.
CSJ Requirements
As a Canada Summer Jobs-funded program, the applicant must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Is between the ages of 18 and 30 at the start of employment.
- Is a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
- Has a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and is legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant legislation and regulations in Ontario.
STF Requirements
- University degree or college diploma in arts management, communications, marketing, theatre or related field.
- Experience in communications, marketing, project management, event management or fundraising.
- The ability to learn how to use data management systems and keep detailed records.
- Proven writing skills for crafting compelling website/newsletter content.
- Shows initiative and is able to meet deadlines and handle concurrent projects, with a track record of fulfilling commitments.
- Proficiency in Google Suite apps.
Reporting to: Marketing Manager
Dates: July 6 – August 28, 2026
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7 hours per day, generally within the Eastern Time Zone working hours.
The Siminovitch Theatre Foundation uplifts groundbreaking theatre artists who are advancing the art form. Through funding, mentorship, profile, and community connection, it encourages theatre artists who are building greater human connection and understanding through their outstanding work. The STF is an independent national charity.
