The Siminovitch Protégé Prize recognizes the importance of mentorship, recognition, and profile to developing talent.
Siminovitch Protégé Prize
Each year the winner of the Siminovitch Prize selects an emerging artist to receive $25,000 and a year of ongoing coaching and counsel.
Selection Process
Each year, the Siminovitch Prize Laureate is asked to select a Protégé who is:
> A theatre artist in the first few years of their career.
> Creating work that’s making a contribution to Canadian theatre.
> Earning their primary income from their artistic work.
It’s not required that the Laureate have an existing relationship with the Protégé they select.

Protégés benefit from unique access to established artists and expanded connections to help advance their careers.
