Each year the winner of the Siminovitch Prize selects an emerging artist to receive $25,000 and a year of ongoing coaching and counsel.
Each year, the Siminovitch Prize Laureate is asked to select a Protégé who is:
> A theatre artist in the first few years of their career.
> Creating work that’s making a contribution to Canadian theatre.
> Earning their primary income from their artistic work.
It’s not required that the Laureate have an existing relationship with the Protégé they select.
