Connect

Camellia is a Toronto based set and costume designer for theatre, opera, and dance, and tv/film. Designs for theatre include collaborations with The Belfry Theatre, Canadian Stage, Electric Company, National Arts Centre, Soulpepper Theatre, 12 seasons with the The Shaw Festival, The Stratford Festival, Tarragon Theatre. Designs for opera and ballet include collaborations with American Ballet Theatre, Ballet Jörgen, The National Ballet of Canada, Boston Lyric Opera, Canadian Opera Company, Edmonton Opera, Helikon Opera (Moscow), Pacific Opera Victoria, Santa Fe Opera, and Tapestry New Opera. Camellia has received six Dora Mavor Moore Awards, a Chalmers Award Grant, 2006 Siminovitch Protégé Prize, 2018 Siminovitch Prize Finalist, and a Virginia and Myrtle Cooper Award for Costume Design.  Camellia can also be found helping make puppet shoes with Ronnie Burkett’s Theatre of Marionettes. She is also a published children’s picture book author.
