Caroline Bélisle is an actress, playwright and very angry feminist who works mainly in the Moncton area of New Brunswick. A 2020 graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada's Playwriting program, she also completed acting training at the University of Moncton a few years earlier. She won the prestigious Gratien-Gélinas Award for Les remugles ou La danse nuptiale est une langue morte, a play that was also a finalist for the Governor General's Literary Award and the Antonine-Maillet-Acadie-Vie Award and translated into German by Frank Weigand (Der Gestank der Welt). Her works have been produced by Théâtre l'Escaouette, Satellite Théâtre, Théâtre Populaire d'Acadie, Le Pays de la Sagouine and Théâtre des Béloufilles. As an actress, she has recently appeared in her play Les remugles, Un. Deux. Trois., by Mani Soleymanlou, and in the television series Garde partagée. She publishes with Éditions Perce-Neige and Bouton d’or d’Acadie.
